Medical Aesthetics in Central Dallas
Downtown, Uptown & Deep Ellum has McKinney Avenue as its main street for practices and ZIP 75204 as its busiest code. The Handbook of Texas calls Deep Ellum an arts and entertainment district on Elm Street east of downtown.
Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek & Love Field centers on ZIPs 75219 and 75209 and on West Lovers Lane, Lemmon Avenue, Oak Lawn Avenue and Turtle Creek Boulevard. The Handbook of Texas calls Love Field a major commercial airport and puts it about six miles northwest of downtown’s central business district. Knox-Henderson, Lower Greenville & Lakewood covers ZIPs 75206 and 75214, with its biggest group of practices on North Central Expressway. Knox Street, its namesake corridor, describes itself as three miles north of Downtown near Highland Park.
An injectables-first market ties the three together: in each, most practices offer neurotoxins, fillers are close behind, and lasers and microneedling are common. They differ in what surrounds that core. Oak Lawn’s practices give hormone and wellness care a larger place. Knox-Henderson has little body contouring and some unusual neighbors, from a cosmetic dentist to an electrolysis studio. Downtown adds permanent makeup and cryotherapy, and its Uptown side has had its own public improvement district since 1993.
UPKEEP Med Spa on Bonita Avenue, in the Knox-Henderson area, has the region’s longest review history, a 4.9 rating across 964 reviews. On McKinney Avenue, Ideal Image West Village holds 4.5 across 723 and Mara’s Med Spa 4.8 across 639. In Oak Lawn, ZO Skin Centre holds 4.9 across 527.
What treatments cost
Nationally, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons gives an average cost of $435 for botulinum toxin injections such as Botox (per treatment) and $715 for hyaluronic acid filler. These are national averages from plastic surgeons, not Dallas med spa prices, and ASPS does not say which year they cover.
Prices change, so confirm the price with the spa before you book.
